Brookbora Jerseys

Brookbora Jerseys includes the original cow families Love Lies, Dainty, Standard Lady, Eileen, Pansy Maderia, Golden Glory, Designs Susie, Golden Gem and Fancy Daisy.  Some more recent introductions to the herd include the well known Vanessa, Estelle, Roxanne, Marie, Babe, Charo, Fernleaf, Melaine, Melanie, Belle, & Sandra families. Further information on several of the families can be found on the links to the left.

There are a number of other cow families being developed within the Brookbora herd. These include Adeline, Mimosa & Valda families from the Stonehenge herd in the Western Victoria, Melys, May, Dairymaid, Waterlily, Primrose, Helen & Sleeping Beauty from the Seasue herd in South Australia, and Sugar, Destiny, Telca, Tess & Tilly families purchased in Northern Victoria. All families within the Brookbora herd are listed below.

Classification has been carried out annually and over the years more than 250 cows have received VHC up to 93 points.  Currently there is close to 50% of the herd, three year old and over, classified 90 points or higher, with 15 holding 91 or 92 points, and including several carrying the production awards.
