Cow families at Brookbora include Love Lies, Dainty, Standard Lady, Eileen, Pansy Maderia, Golden Glory, Designs Susie, Golden Gem and Fancy Daisy.  Some introductions to the herd include animals from Stonehenge and Seasue jersey studs including the families of Mimosa, Adeline, May, Melys and Helen and  the introduction of the the well known Vanessa family from South Australia.

Classification has been carried out annually and over the years more than 150 cows have received VHC up to 93 points.  Currently there is close to 40% of the herd, three year old and over, classified 90 points or higher, including several excellent awards.  The herd is highly commercial, bred with very functional type cows and the ASI average is in the top 5% of herds.
