The 1980's saw the introduction of American genetics into the herd and the dramatic increase in production.  The herd is highly commercial and bred with very functional type cows and is now amongst the top production herds nationally.  Brookbora has received the Gold Award for  ten consecutive years and a Platinum Award in its inaugural presentation year for  2006 and again in 2007.

Particular attention is paid to nutritional balance, pasture and supplement quality, effective use of fertilizer and water together with overall herd health to ensure that the maximum economic production can be achieved.
