12th December 2007 Daraway Taranak Vanessa 3 and Daraway Taranak Vanessa 4 purchased from the Barton Family. 

Daraway Taranak Vanessa is on target for her best lactation yet, producing 6108 litres, 341 kgs butterfat, 244 kgs protein, in 186 days.  Dam of promising up and coming   young sires, CSC Navara and Bartpower,  she recently classified Superior 92 at 7  years.  Click here for information

31st May 2007  Herd inspection of properties within the Northern District Jerseys Breeders Club  took place as part of the  Jerseys...light years ahead three day tour with  approximately 80people attending.   As  part of the tour, visitors inspected the the Brookbora herd in the afternoon.

30th May 2007  The purchase of Kaarmona Jace Marie 2 ET, a 2006 born heifer, brought home a  top quality heifer from the Northern Lights Sale.  With 2 generations of Superior  92 point backing her, she will provide great interest as she matures.  Her Megastar brother, MARVIG, is with 21st Century Genetics and grand-dam Brunetta Brook Marie taking out numerous classes at IDW including three 1st Prize in-milk for age group awards and Reserve Champion Cow IDW 2006

A further purchase of an excellent heifer from Jimann Jerseys,  was Jimann Jace Roxanna, her dam taking 1st place 2yrs and Junior Champion NDJBC OFC 2004 & 2nd 2 years Great South Challenge 2004.  This heifer will calve in Spring 2007 and we look forward to her future within the milking herd. 

30th May 2007  The Northern District Jersey Breeders Club, as part of the 2007 Jersey  Australia (Victorian Branch) AGM, have organised the Jerseys...light years ahead  three day tour of  the Echuca  region.  The program includes a bus tour to be conducted on Thursday 31st May where the Brookbora herd will be inspected.  Brookbora will also be open for inspection on Friday 1st  June 2007 between 11am and 1pm.
